A Toledo mother who is accused of throwing her 3-month-old son into his crib, causing serious injuries, was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Friday of felony endangering children.

Brook Ennis, 19, of 2251 Airline Ave., is in custody in lieu of $250,000 bond. She is accused of throwing the infant into his crib Nov. 29. Authorities said the boy was taken to Toledo Hospital with a skull fracture, broken ribs, and bleeding on the brain, and is recovering.

Lucas County Children Services, which is investigating the case, reported that it placed Ms. Ennis’ 20-month-old child in foster care.
