B.G. man found guilty in drunk-driving crash

A Bowling Green man is to be sentenced May 3 on charges stemming from a drunken-driving crash.

Jerry Eschedor, Jr., 43, pleaded no contest and was found guilty Friday by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Alan Mayberry of aggravated vehicular assault, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and failure to stop after an accident.

The charges stem from an Aug. 26 incident in which Eschedor struck Caleb J. Roberts, 19, as he was riding his bicycle in the 800 block of 4th Street. Police said Eschedor then parked his car and fled.

Also on Friday, Eschedor pleaded guilty to illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, a charge filed on Thursday in an unrelated bill of information.
