Holland murder suspect gets bond of $2.5M

Bond was set at $2.5 million Wednesday for a Holland man charged in the shooting death and robbery of a 21-year-old.

Appearing before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda, Antonio Taylor, Jr., 19, of 347 Oak View Ct. pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated robbery, murder, aggravated burglary, and two counts of felonious assault for the April 29 death of Nathaniel Phillips of Toledo and the wounding of Michael Kohlhofer, Jr., 19, of Holland.

Police said at least two people were allowed inside an apartment on Twin Oaks Drive where the intruders struck one of three occupants on the head and shot Mr. Phillips and Mr. Kohlhofer.

Judge Zmuda scheduled a pretrial hearing for June 5.
