Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to A $50 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

The Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Dogs killed June 6-8 by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

“Pit bull” mix, black and brindle female, unlicensed, stray, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because dog had blood coming from mouth and anus, was extremely emaciated and weak, Delaware Avenue, Toledo.

Poodle mix, black male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia because dog was blind, surrendered by Frances Kimble, Everett Street, Toledo.

German shepherd mix, tan and white female, licensed, owner requested euthanasia because dog had cancer, surrendered by Jeffery Brown, Eberle Drive, Toledo.

Australian shepherd, blue and red male, licensed, owner requested euthanasia because dog was old, sick, and unable to stand, surrendered by Steven Varke, Cypress Avenue, Toledo.

Chihuahua mix, black and tan male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia because dog was diabetic, not eating, and throwing up water, surrendered by Shannon Hovey, Gill Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” red and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling, Starr Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

“Pit bull” mix, black and white female, unlicensed, stray, dog aggression, Indianwood Circle, Maumee.
