Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 13-14 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull” mix, tan and white female, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray picked up April 9 by a control officer at Oakdale Avenue and Oakmont Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (dog aggression, attacking another dog in the home); surrendered April 13 by Jennifer Noland, Hubbard Road, Monroe.

Maltese/toy poodle mix, white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (seizures); surrendered April 13 by Cathy Hibler, Scottwood Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brown and white female, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (low growl, scared, stiff, hair up, and flashing teeth in playgroup April 13); stray taken to shelter April 9 by Yolanda Meadows, Colburn Street, Toledo, from Colburn Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, brindle and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (high arousal, tail up, growling, jumping on other dogs, increasing arousal and continuing to jump when corrected by other dogs in playgroup April 13); stray picked up April 9 by a control officer at Oakdale Avenue and Oakmont Street, Toledo.
