The Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Division of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring an Ohio State Parks Photo Contest to encourage children to turn off their computers, video games, and televisions and reconnect with the natural world.
Those who wish to enter, must send a 5-by-7 color or black-and-white print of children learning about nature in one of Ohio's 74 state parks.
Entries should be mailed to Ohio State Parks Photo Contest, 2045 Morse Rd., Building C-3, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
All entries must be taken in a state park during 2008. Winning photographs will be featured at ohiostateparks.org and in the 2009 spring-summer issue of the Ohio State Parks magazine.
Entry details for the contest are available at ohiostateparks.org.
Deadline for submissions is Nov. 5.
