Cruisin Nights will be from 5-8 p.m. on June 4, July 9, Aug. 6, and Sept. 3 in the downtown area. Registration for the car show begins at 4:30 p.m. at Eisenhour Motors, with the first 100 registrants receiving a free give-away each show. June 4 participants will receive a free 2009 Pemberville Cruisin Night T-shirt. Music from the 50s and 60s will be featured each show. New features include a mini farmers market hosted by Beeker s General Store and an antique alley hosted by Riverbank Antiques. Vendor space is available. Arc Day at the Bay will be from 3 p.m. to dark June 13 at Maumee Bay State Park. Toledo historical and architectural cruises on the Maumee River aboard the Sandpiper boat are presented by the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor. The two-hour cruises take place from 1-3 p.m. Sundays on June 14 and Sept. 6, and Mondays from 8-10 p.m. July 13 and Aug. 10. Two groups of students from France are to be in the Toledo area this summer through The World Exchange, a nonprofit educational organization. The first group will be here July 13-Aug 1 and the second group from Aug. 1-20. The students are aged 14-18, have full insurance, and are fairly fluent in English. Host families are required to provide a bed, daily meals, and time to help students experience as much of American life as possible. Program directors have planned at least two group activities.
