Northwood

Government food distribution for city of Northwood residents will be at the Josie Reinhart Community Center, 6000 Wales Rd., from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 24.

Oregon

Giant Garage Sale. Box or bag clothing, household items, smaller furniture, bedspreads, craft items, or small televisions. Donations are tax deductible. Take them to Clay High School, 5721 Seaman Rd., Oregon, from 4-7 p.m. March 5. Return and shop 8 a.m.-2 p.m. March 6. Whatever is left after the sale will be donated to charity.

Toledo

St. Francis de Sales High School hold annual Fun-a-Rama Feb. 28 from noon to 8 p.m. Bancroft Street and Parkside Boulevard. Events include gladiator jousts, cash-prize raffles, radar speed pitching, a clown and magician, bingo, adult casino, fast food, barbecue chicken dinners with carryout available, Ferdos hummos and pita, and Stanley's kielbasa dogs. Admission and parking free.

St. John's Jesuit Academy, 5901 Airport Hwy., will host an information night at 7 p.m. Feb. 24.

Medal of Honor speech by Conrad Lippincott at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Toledo Club downtown, sponsored by American Legion Toledo Post 335. A history teacher and former member of the Air Force, he will speak about the highest military decoration awarded by the U.S. government. It was created in 1862 and signed into law by President Lincoln. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and costs $14. Program at 12:30 p.m. is free.
