The Central Catholic High School science department recently received the Governor's Award for Excellence in Youth Science Opportunities for the 16th consecutive year, a record unique among Toledo-area high schools, and two of its science teachers received individual recognition.
Central is one of 115 schools across the state that the Ohio Academy of Sciences selected for the award, along with 418 teachers, including Central's Noreen Cromley and Dave Torrence. All will receive certificates from the Ohio Department of Education.
