A benefit dinner for a Pemberville woman progressing out of a coma will be Nov. 6.
The benefit is for Tammie Brann, mother of 6-year-old twin boys, Michael and Logan.
She has been in a coma as a result of an Aug. 29 car accident.
The spaghetti dinner, silent auction, and bake sale will be from 4:30- 8 p.m. at Pemberville American Legion Hall, 405 East Front St.
The Salvation Army-Port Clinton Service Center is holding its 17th Annual "Red Kettle Campaign" Kickoff Celebration on Nov. 4.
The event to line up volunteers will be at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 4 at The Island House Restaurant, 102 Madison St. Details: 419-732-2769.
Rossford Village Exempted Schools is kicking off its red ribbon drug-prevention observation Friday with a Junior Teen Institute tailgate party before the football game.
Two of the school district's teachers, Laren Cox of Eagle Point Elementary School and Joni Kovarik-Vidra of Indian Hills Elementary, also will be honored for their efforts to keep red ribbon week alive.
Other red ribbon activities will be conducted through Oct. 31, including a "wear red day" for the entire district Oct. 27 and a dance for seventh and eighth graders Oct. 29.
