Oregon's Board of Education and the teachers' union failed at a recent meeting to agree on a contract.
Board President, Eric Heintschel said that during the executive session there were no new items to discuss or issues brought to the table in regard to the contract, and no action was taken to move forward.
"At this time, we can't come to a consensus on a contract that both parties are willing to sign," Mr. Heintschel said.
There is the possibility for a special meeting to discuss the language of the contract further but a date has not yet been determined.
