Port Clinton school’s contents to be auctioned

BLADE STAFF

PORT CLINTON -- The contents of Port Clinton City School District’s Bataan Memorial Elementary School are to be auctioned Saturday at the school at 525 W. 6th Street. The auction will begin at 9:30 a.m. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.

Items for auction include desks, various-sized tables, filing cabinets, computer desks, metal shelving, projectors, dry-erase boards, bulletin boards, easels, and folding chairs.

The auction list is available at pccsd.net under “News.”

The school is being remodeled and expanded. The $42 million project is partly funded by the Ohio School Facilities Commission project and by a 3.63-mill, 37-year bond issue voters approved in 2009.

In the fall, Bataan will become a preschool-to-grade-5 building with a physical separation between grades K-2 and grades 3-5. Bataan Memorial Elementary will then include Bataan Primary and Bataan Intermediate.
