A state trade mission to Japan and Taiwan this month will include four northwest Ohio firms and six organizations trying to find new business with that part of the world or enrich existing ties.
Accompanying Governor Taft on the mission from Sept. 24 to Oct. 3 are 73 representatives of 60 companies, governments, or organizations. The trip will include business meetings and networking events with the goal of expanding Ohio exports and increasing foreign investment in Ohio. The mission is Mr. Taft's fifth and the second to Japan.
Participating from northwest Ohio are: Betco Corp. of Toledo, Morgan Carbon of Fostoria, ACAP Ltd. of Findlay, and Findlay Publishing Co.
Other regional participants are the Allen County Economic Development Group of Lima, University of Findlay, Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, Findlay-Hancock County Community Development Foundation, and the cities of Findlay and Lima.
