Michigan jobless rate highest in nation
LANSING, Mich. - Michigan had the highest unemployment rate among the 50 states in February, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported yesterday.
Michigan's 7.5 percent unemployment rate was higher than Alaska's 7.2 percent and South Carolina's 7.1 percent. The national unemployment rate, meanwhile, was 5.4 percent.
