COLUMBUS Westhaven Services Co. has been granted a $200,000 state grant to help pay for machinery for the Perrysburg Township firm s expansion in Maumee and its consolidated administrative office in its Wood County town.
The $3.5 million project, which the state controlling board helped finance yesterday, is to create 225 jobs and retain 250 positions within three years.
Westhaven, a unit of Omnicare that provides pharmacy services in northwest Ohio, will have its billing, collections, medical records and other services into five regional centers nationally, including Perrysburg Township. The equipment to be purchased includes drug-dispensing machines, computer and telephone servers.
Also, the Spectra Group Limited Inc., with a site in Millbury, was awarded $350,000 by the state controlling board to develop its technology that has applications including laser and digital light processing. The project is to add 16 jobs.
