Foreclosure-related filings fell in Ohio and Michigan last month, according to California data firm RealtyTrac Inc.
Ohio had 10,458 filings in November for bank repossessions and auction and default notices, down 21 percent from October and 1.2 percent from the same month a year ago. Michigan had 15,311 filings last month, down nearly 21 percent from October and a decrease of 4.2 percent from a year ago.
The local statistics mirror national foreclosure numbers, which also fell in November. RealtyTrac reported 262,339 foreclosure filings nationwide in November, down 21 percent from October and down 14.4 percent from a year ago.
