Despite the rise in the statewide jobless rate last month, unemployment was pretty steady across most of metro Toledo.
The unemployment rate in Lucas County was unchanged at 10.5 percent in July, unchanged in Ottawa County at 12.5 percent, and dipped slightly in Wood County to 9.4 percent, according to figures released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The rate increased last month to 10.5 percent in Fulton County, up from 9.7 percent in June.
The statewide rate, released last week, climbed to 9 percent from 8.8 percent in June.
