Northwood hires new principal for middle school

Northwood Board of Education has hired a new principal for Northwood Middle School.

Amy Klinger, who was the elementary principal at Wynn Elementary School in the Oregon school district, will start Aug. 1. Her salary, with a two-year contract, is $62,344.

She worked as a gifted coordinator in the Oregon district, as a seventh and eighth-grade language arts teacher at Rossford Middle School, and high school English teacher at Northwood.

She replaces Jim Firestone, who served as interim principal during the second semester.
