VANLUE, Ohio The Vanlue School District will be back on the ballot in May with a 2 percent income tax and an emergency 6.5-mill operating levy.
Vanlue Superintendent Tim Kruse said the four-year levy would generate about $175,000 a year, while the five-year income tax would generate about $510,000 a year.
The tax would take the place of the district s 1 percent income tax, which expires at the end of the year.
Frankly, we re in survival mode. We re to that point, Mr. Kruse said.
