2 labor unions at UT accept contract offers

After lengthy negotiations, two labor organizations at the University of Toledo have accepted new contract offers from the administration.

Members of the American Association of University Professors as well as the UT lecturers bargaining unit both voted in favor of contract offers this week.

Details of the proposed contracts weren't available yesterday. The pacts won't be final until after the board of trustees votes on them at its next meeting April 27.

Another UT union, Communication Workers of America, Local 4530, last week rejected its second contract offer from the institution this year. That matter is expected to enter into a fact-finding phase.
