Oregon schools to pay design firm $2.8 million

The Oregon Board of Education approved a contract with The Collaborative for designs for its school building project.

The firm has been working for the district on a fee basis.

Under the terms of the contract, the district will pay the firm about $2.8 million, or 7 percent of the $40 million construction cost, over the duration of the project.

The board also set a special meeting for 11 a.m. June 24 at Fire Station No. 1 to view the firm s conceptual drawings for the project.
