WAUSEON James Bernath of Stryker, Ohio, who served on school boards for many years, resigned from the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center governing board for health reasons.
Mr. Bernath served on the Stryker Board of Education for 16 years before joining the Williams County Board of Education in 1993. The Williams County board merged in 1996 with boards from three other counties Defiance, Fulton, and Henry to form the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center.
The service center s board has named Stryker resident Darren Hogan to succeed Mr. Bernath and complete his term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2007.
