Toledo Public Schools will launch its campaign to promote the district s 2.5-mill levy renewal on next month s ballot today in the Libbey High School Field House.
The event, which begins at 5 p.m., will include the bands from Libbey, Bowsher, and Waite high schools.
The 2.5-mill capital improvement tax renewal on the Nov. 8 ballot, which generates $4.9 million a year and costs the owner of a $100,000 home $38 a year, pays for general permanent improvements, including renovations, furniture, and computer software.
It originally was approved in 1985.
