More than 200 Start High School students crowded around Toledo school district officials and city leaders yesterday for a ground-breaking ceremony for the new $45 million Start High School campus.
The West Toledo school, which should be completed by Fall, 2008, will share its campus with the YMCA.
The school district already has authorized about $34 million for the new school.
Seventy-seven percent of the cost is being paid for by the state of Ohio, while the remaining 23 percent is funded locally through a 4.99-mill levy passed in 2002.
