Jerry Marsenburg, a senior from Toledo, plans to attend a black college to study medicine. His career goal is to become a physical therapist or a physician. He enjoys algebra, anatomy, and American History and has a 3.8 grade-point average.
Jerry is the athletic scholar of the year and is a member of the Junior National Honor Society. He is involved in the University of Toledo Excel program.
In his spare time, Jerry enjoys helping neighbors with various projects and has volunteered for the American Red Cross.
"Other students would really benefit from Jerry's being a mentor," said English teacher and adviser J. Aldridge. "He would be an exceptional one."
Jerry is the son of Jerry and Phyllis Marsenburg.
