A Toledo lawyer yesterday lost his attempt to get on next week s ballot as a candidate for the Toledo Board of Education.
The Ohio Supreme Court ruled that the Lucas County Board of Elections was right in rejecting the petition and refusing to certify the candidacy of John G. Bull Dog Rust.
The elections board rejected his petition because the number of signatures stated in each affidavit was less than the actual number of signatures on each part-petition. The secretary of state told elections boards to invalidate such petitions.
