Broken main forces Start to utilize bottled water
A water main break outside of Start High School Monday night prompted Toledo Public Schools officials to deliver more than 2,400 bottles of water to the building yesterday.
The high school remains under a boil-advisory today, which means students and staff are not to drink water from the tap or use it to wash their hands, Dan Burns, the school district s chief business manager, said.
Bottles of hand sanitizer were placed in bathrooms and some classrooms.
There was no flood damage to Start.
In June, Beverly Elementary School in South Toledo was damaged by a flood when a water main ruptured. The school s gymnasium floor, tiles, and carpeting were damaged.
