The University of Toledo's National Youth Sports Program was recognized yesterday at this year's Ohio Parks and Recreation Conference and Trade Show luncheon at the SeaGate Centre for its excellence in programming.
The association conference, which showcases outstanding achievements among Ohio's parks and recreation organizations, judged more than 100 submissions. UT's program earned a superior rating.
Last year, UT's youth sports program was the first program to win the Silvio O. Conte Award of Excellence in consecutive years from the National Youth Sports Corporation board of directors.
