Medical University of Ohio is expected to unveil a new two-photon laser scanning confocal microscope Monday and dedicate the suite housing the technology to U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo).
The powerful microscope was acquired through a $660,000 federal grant and will be used by MUO researchers.
The device, which should allow scientists to observe individual living cells and even individual molecules, will be housed in the MUO Advanced Microscopy and Imaging Center in the basement of the Block Health Science Center.
