Benton-Carroll-Salem schools hire new leader

OAK HARBOR, Ohio The board of education for Benton-Carroll-Salem school district met in a special session yesterday to hire a retired educator living in Sandusky as superintendent.

Diane Kershaw has been working as interim personnel director for the Fremont City Schools. She has 35 years of experience in various posts in the Fremont district.

Ms. Kershaw, one of three finalists, will replace Fred Schnoor, who retires July 31.

Terms of the contract must still be worked out before the board s regular session June 27.
