Genoa schools chief lauded by state group

GENOA The superintendent of Genoa Area Local schools has been awarded the Buckeye Association of School Administrators exemplary leadership award.

Dennis Mock was the award recipient for the association s Region 1, which includes Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, and Wood counties.

The award described Mr. Mock as a caring and dedicated educational leader who has demonstrated passion, vision, energy, integrity, and innovation in his commitment to the promotion of [Genoa schools].

In addition, he has made the district s buildings some of the best in the state, it said.

Mr. Mock has been the district s superintendent for more than a dozen years.
