It's been a busy five years for Dr. Lloyd Jacobs, president of the University of Toledo.
The medical doctor gave up his job as chief operating officer at the University of Michigan Health System to take over the top job at the Medical College of Ohio.
Just two years later, he helped merge that school with UT.
Besides dealing with the merger, Dr. Jacobs has been faced with personnel problems and a tough economy.
He talks about all of that - and the challenges he faces as he reconfigures both campuses so UT can be a leader in northwest Ohio well into the 21st century - on this week's edition of Deadline Now.
The show, hosted by Jack Lessenberry, The Blade's ombudsman, will be broadcast at 8:30 tonight and at 2:30 a.m. tomorrow on WGTE-TV, Channel 30.
