BOWLING GREEN The interim dean of Bowling Green State University s college of arts and sciences has been given the role permanently.
Simon Morgan-Russell, 42, will become the dean on Monday of the largest of the university s seven colleges. His salary will be $175,000.
Mr. Morgan-Russell has been serving as the interim dean since July, when Donald Nieman left to become the arts and sciences dean at Binghamton University.
Mr. Morgan-Russell, who was the recommendation of the search committee, began his career at BGSU as an assistant professor of English in 1994.
He since has served as the chairman of the English department and associate dean for curriculum and faculty advancement in the arts and sciences college.
