BGSU students volunteer on Martin Luther King Day

Lori Anteau, center, volunteer services administrator at Bowling Green State University, works with students Jessica Davis, Shawn Smith, Andra Ammanniti, and Matt Bauer, from left, to gather the seeds from the endangered horse mint plant that will be grown in the fall in the university's greenhouse.

Jaren Hite works on making a picnic table. He was among the student volunteers who gave up their holiday from classes Monday to work for others and the community during the university's annual Martin Luther King Day of Service Challenge.
