The University of Toledo has reached an agreement with about 800 employees represented by the Communications Workers of America Local 4319 to extend their current contract through 2012.
Wages will remain stable under the agreement, but full-time employees will begin paying 20 percent of the cost of their health insurance -- up from 15 percent -- and 2 percent of their vision and dental coverage. They did not previously pay anything toward vision and dental coverage.
The contract also eliminated a discrepancy in coverage payments with part-time employees.
