The University of Toledo will manage the YMCA and JCC of Greater Toledo's Healthy Living programs -- including diabetes education and weight management, and Kids in Motion -- under a partnership signed Monday.
The partners will have a shared staff position to manage the programs. The hope is to improve residents' access to initiatives focusing on chronic-disease prevention and family wellness, and provide internships and professional experiences for UT students.
The YMCA runs the South YMCA site in the Morse Center on UT's Health Science Campus, formerly the Medical College of Ohio.
