11 applicants seek Oregon school board seat
BLADE STAFF
Eleven applicants have applied for the opening on the Oregon Board of Education. The board met in closed session today to review the applications and is to meet Wednesday to interview candidates.
Officials hope to swear in the new member at the board’s regular July 17 meeting.
He or she will replace Richard Gabel, who resigned this month for health reasons.
