UT chief to recommend Scarborough for provost
University of Toledo President Lloyd Jacobs said Thursday he will recommend promoting Scott Scarborough for provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.
He is now senior vice president and executive director of the UT Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio. He would replace William McMillen, who is retiring after 30 years with UT. Mr. Scarborough has been with UT since 2007, when he was hired as senior vice president for finance and administration.
His appointment is expected to be approved by university trustees at their next meeting Sept. 17.
