UT law college to honor Ohio Justice Lanzinger
Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger will receive the 2012 Distinguished Alumna Award from the University of Toledo college of law at a alumni affiliate awards reception on Saturday.
Justice Lanzinger, who has served at all levels of the state judiciary over the past 27 years, received her law degree cum laude in 1977, as valedictorian of her class. She had graduated from UT in 1968, with a dual major in elementary education and English.
Also being honored at the event are:
Ronald C. Brown, the distinguished alumnus award.
Rabbi Alan M. Sokobin, the commitment award.
Maj. Michael R. Rentz, the outstanding new exemplar award.
Professors Rebecca E. Zietlow and Charles W. Fornoff, the outstanding faculty member award.
Professor Lee J. Strand, the Eastman & Smith Ltd. faculty achievement award.
