Ten people were taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital today after a school bus crash in Oregon, officials said.
The crash, in the 4800 block of Seaman Road, was reported at 7:39 a.m. as a collision between a school bus – Bus 43 – and a vehicle, an Oregon police dispatcher said.
Nine students – on their way to Clay High School – were taken to the hospital as was the driver of the vehicle, said Oregon fire Chief Ed Ellis.
None of the injuries appear to be life threatening, Chief Ellis said.
A second crash involving a school bus and a vehicle was reported at 7:57 a.m. at Starr Avenue and Wynn Road, the dispatcher said.
The school bus in that crash was empty; no injuries were reported.
Seaman Road is closed – and will be until at least 10 a.m. – between Lallendorf and Wynn Roads, Chief Ellis said.
