Heidelberg administrator to lead college in Pa.

TIFFIN — A Heidelberg University administrator has been named president of Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa.

James A. Troha, vice president of institutional advancement at Heidelberg, will become the small liberal-arts college’s 12th president in June.

He will replace Thomas Kepple, Jr., who plans to retire May 31 after 15 years as president at Juniata.

Mr. Troha was hired at Heidelberg in 2001 as vice president for student affairs and dean of students.

From 2003 to 2007, he also was vice president for enrollment, helping to increase enrollment 19 percent his first year and recruit three of the largest freshman classes in 30 years.

Mr. Troha was interim president during the 2008-09 school year and, with the arrival of Robert Huntington as president, assumed his current position.
