Security at Monroe Public Schools has been increased in response to the school shootings in Newtown, Conn., Superintendent Randy Monday reports.
To be admitted to a building, visitors must have photo IDs and should be prepared for delays. All classroom doors are locked while classes are in session. A uniformed guard is to be at the main entrance of every school building starting in January.
