The Board of Education has narrowed its choice of applicants for the superintendent position to two candidates: Mark Kleinhans, superintendent at the Montrose Public Schools, and Craig Haugen, who holds the same office in the Jefferson Community Schools.
Each will return to the district for a full day to participate in a second public interview.
Mr. Kleinhans will be in the district Wednesday, and Mr. Haugen Feb. 27.
A meet-and-greet session for each candidate is planned from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the high school followed by an interview at 6:45 p.m. in the media center. School officials encourage the public to attend.
