Students cross the partially frozen Ottawa River as they brave the cold on their way to class Thursday at the University of Toledo. An inch or two of snow was expected to fall overnight in the Toledo area before changing over to a mix of wintry precipitation, according to the National Weather Service. In Toledo and to the east, the precipitation was expected to change to all rain by lunchtime today, and a blustery east wind is expected to accompany the precipitation. Saturday is expected to be calmer, with a slight chance of snow.
