Tara Zechman, Perrysburg High School Teacher
"Tara Zechman is the essence of the teacher we all want for our students," said Kadee Anstadt, Director of Teaching and Learning. "She cares deeply about her students, spending many hours on the weekends reviewing their work and looking for ways to teach math in a way that makes the learning relevant for her students. Tara is an exemplary department leader, constantly seeking the latest research and best practices for math and teacher-leadership. She connects with students outside of the math classroom, as well, showing her interest in the whole child, not just the academic child. Tara sets the standard for high quality educators and we are so proud to have her here in Perrysburg."
Tara has taught many different levels of mathematics and serves as the Math Department Chair. She has been on staff at Perrysburg High School since 2005 and holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.A. from the University of Toledo.
