To reduce utility costs this summer, the Monroe school district is reducing the number of days it will keep its buildings open.
Starting June 17, the district will keep its administration building, high school, and middle school open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The buildings will close on Fridays.
The Riverside Early Learning Center and the district’s maintenance department headquarters will not be affected by the schedule change.
The normal five-day schedule for the three affected buildings will resume Aug. 12.
