Glendale-Feilbach Elementary on Cass Road is one of three Ohio schools to receive funds from the National Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils for a fitness center.
The foundation announced Monday it is giving the school $100,000 that Glendale-Feilbach plans to use to remodel office space into a fitness center. It is one of 12 schools in Ohio, Washington, Wisconsin, and Arizona to receive a new fitness center this year, thanks to the foundation’s partnerships with corporate sponsors.
School officials hope to start planning the project in August and have it ready in September or early October.
