Maumee players prepare to take the field before a football game last season.
Members of the Maumee community are invited to attend Wednesday's ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first phase of the Kazmaier Stadium renewal project.
The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by the Maumee Marching Pride, followed by a welcoming from Superintendent Todd Cramer. Refreshments will be provided.
The band will perform at 6:15 on the football field. Self-guided tours of the renovations will begin at 7.
The $1.8 million project includes new field turf, grandstands, public restrooms, locker rooms, and concession stands.
