Natural gas prices will decline slightly next month for customers of Columbia Gas of Ohio, although few people are likely to notice because of lower summer usage.
The utility yesterday asked state regulators to let it charge $1 per 100 cubic feet of gas used in July, down 2 cents from $1.02 in June and July, 2006. The rate applies only to people who buy gas directly from Columbia.
