Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc. said Thursday its customer rate for natural gas will go up 4 cents in July to 43 cents per 100 cubic feet. A year ago, the July rate was 62 cents per 100 cubic feet.
The July rate is based on the latest natural-gas commodity closing price of 27.7 cents on the New York Mercantile Exchange, plus 15.3 cents for a state-regulated service charge.
The utility estimated July's average bill will be $31.13.
